Minutes Approval: Minutes of the 3/16/2023 meeting were reviewed and motioned to approve by
(Christensen/Wolford). Motion approved by unanimous consent.
Airport Manager Report:
• Update on RC Fly In
o The Special Event Application for August 26 – 27 was approved through the City. It can now move
on to City Council and IDOT approval.
• Jeff Olson was not available for the Airport Engineer update.
Old Business:
• Review of Private hangar Project and Lease
o Chairperson Repp stated concerns on several sections of the Lease.
o Further discussion of steps to take to get the project started (e.g. getting site plan drafted, seeking
approval from IDOT, finalizing agreement, and city council approval)
New Business:
Commission discussed the relocation of Electric Drive-Thru Gate to the Tee Hangar location. Will ask
Justin in the Traffic Department to check on the availability of power for the gates. Touched on the
potential use of fuel tax money for the project. Discussed the special use of the Airport for a 2-day
Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) to be held on August 21 – 22, 2023. A motion was made by
Repp/Wolford to support the event, which passed unanimously.

Discussed if it is necessary to have a set of rules and regulations or minimum standards in place.

The meeting adjourned at 3:48 pm on a motion by Christensen/Wolford that passed
unanimously.
