MINUTES
March 20, 2025 3:00 p.m.

1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Aaron Repp at 3:00 p.m.

3. Approval of Minutes: February 20, 2025, Meeting
Springer made a motion to accept the minutes of the meeting as presented and seconded by
David Christensen. The motion passed unanimously.
4. Updates and Reports:
a. FBO Update (Phillip Wolford)
No update. Phillip Wolford absent from the meeting.
b. Airport Manager Update (Aaron Gavin)
Aaron Gavin provided the Airport Manager update and stated that the engineering
agreement with Hanson Engineering was approved by the City Council. The next step will
be to hold a local stakeholder’s meeting. Hanson Engineering will be scheduling the
meeting sometime in mid-April.
Updates were also provided on the two upcoming construction projects. The project to
rehabilitate the parking lot and entrance road will be on the April 25th State letting. The
fuel island project is currently in environmental review process at IDOT and the FAA. Once
environmental approval is received, final plans will be submitted to IDOT by Hanson
Engineering for approval. It is anticipated that the project will be advertised for bid
sometime in May.
Aaron also stated that Jeff Olson emailed the Committee information on the IFR counts.
Eric Hanson was present and provided information on the status of the hangar land lease
agreement. A draft of the agreement is currently being reviewed by the City’s legal staff.
It is anticipated to be finalized in April or May and will be presented to City Council for
their approval. This will be provide a template for any future land lease agreements for
people interested in constructing a private hangar at the airport.
c. Airport Maintenance Update (Don Miles)
Don Miles provided the airport maintenance update stating that enough snow fell to
require plowing at the Airport yesterday. Staff is still working to schedule the tree work
on airport grounds as the recent weather has not allowed this work to get done. Don also
stated that mowing season would be starting soon.

7. General Discussion of other Airport Related Topics
Aaron Repp provided information on the upcoming Young Eagles Rally on April 12th that
allows middle school and high school students to get involved at the airport. He also
mentioned that June 14th is National Young Eagles Day and the day encourages
participation in the Young Eagle program and offer free flights for kids.

10. Adjournment: A motion was made by David Christensen, seconded by Ken Springer, to adjourn
the meeting at 3:15 p.m.
