NOTICE OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Monday, May 15, 2023 - 5:00 p.m.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Galesburg will hold a Special City Council
Meeting on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Said meeting has been called by Council
Members Heather Acerra, Wayne Dennis, Bradley Hix and Evan Miller in accordance with 65
ILCS 5/3.1-40-25. The meeting will be held at 55 West Tompkins Street, Galesburg, IL,
61401for purposes of considering the following agenda:
1. Call to Order
2. Roll Call
3. Pledge of Allegiance
4. Discussion and Potential Action to Approve an Ordinance authorizing the City Council to
retain Independent Legislative Counsel
5. Closed Session — Convene into closed door Executive Session for the purpose of
discussing the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or
dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public
body. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)
6. Discussion and Potential Action related to the appointment, employment or removal of
the City Manager
7. Public Comment
8. Adjournment
