Meeting called to order on November 5, 2020 at 6:38pm by King.
Members Present: King, Donaldson, Grimes, McKillip, Wallace, Thierry
Also Present: Jessica Pease
McKillip moves to approve minutes from the October meeting, Grimes seconds.
Chairman Remarks:
● Discussion regarding a potential letter in support of the NAACP’s request for resolution
to condemn systemic racism. Grimes abstained from conversation. It was voted and
passed that the commission will take action by sending a letter once it is approved by
the commission. Grimes and Thierry abstained from the vote.
Commission Member Remarks
● King thanks the commission for their discussion tonight and is happy with the dialogue
● Grimes reports no comment
● Thierry would like to make it known that she does acknowledge systemic racism
● McKillip reports no comment
● Wallace agrees with a comment made by Thierry that there may be more laws we need
to consider as a commission regarding city policies
● Donaldson - Teaching Tolerance will be providing professional development to
educators in February and that may be a potential collaboration for the commission.

McKillip made a motion to adjourn at 8:15pm, Thierry seconded.
