New Business
● Draft Action Plan
McKillip reported there is not a polling place on the southwest side of town and wanted
to discuss if the commission would like to add that request to the draft action plan.
Grimes added that it would make the area more equitable to the rest of the community.
Chairman asked if we wanted to be specific regarding location whether or not it was a
church and if that would factor into the comfort of voters. Wallace inquired about whether
there could be incentives or grants to minority business owners from the city. Dabale
discussed whether we should be more specific about which ethnic groups we are
attempting to increase equitable measures for. Wallace agreed that the document
should be more specific in defining the term ‘minority.’ Donaldson recommended some
grammatical edits to the document to make it more specific.
