King called meeting to order 6:03pm
Present: McKillip, King, and Wallace
New commissioner Taylor
Not present: Robinson and Kupa
Chair remarks:
Right to life flag is currently up. Would like to make a statement but wanted to bring it to the
boards attention before bringing it to the council. Would like to draft a statement and present
it to the council with the support of the board. There are concerns about the flag. We need to
have an ordinance for flags. Resources should and need to be provided if a flag is being
requested to be flown. We still do not have representation from our city council.
Commissioner Remarks:
Robinson: There’s a lack of resources in Galesburg. Would like to have a resource fair to
showcase the various resources that are available. Currently working on a proclamation.
McKillip: Remarks in regard to the NAACP Gala.
Wallace: None
Complaint:
Robinson couldn’t get in touch in regard to the code issue. The city went out and couldn’t find
anything. She’ll reach back out. In regard to the manager accused of racism, at the E. Main Hy-
Vee) the employee quit their job and Robinson will follow-up. Robinson will also follow up in
regard to the Knox Co. Housing Authority.
