King called the meeting to order August 8, at 6:05pm.
McKillip moved to approve the minutes Taylor seconded the motion
Chairman’s remark’s:
Miss America will be hosting a scholarship October 19 th.
Made a motion to skip October’s meeting.
Robinson made a motion to approve the change, Taylor seconded the motion.
Made a motion to skip December’s meeting and move January’s meeting to the second
Thursday instead of the first Thursday.
Wallace made a motion to approve the changes, Taylor seconded the motion.
Commission Members Remarks
McKillip-The NAACP Gala will be September 28 at Cedar Creek, Jane Elliott guest
speaker, go to Facebook page for tickets.
Robinson would like to be more active within the community (King suggested for
Robinson to bring in the community calendar for the next meeting, plan a few months
out. What we will need? How many volunteers? What’s the scope of work?)

Next meeting September 5, 2024 at 6 pm.
We will continue with the first Thursday except January will be the second at 6pm.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:43pm.
Wallace made a motion to adjourn, McKillip/Taylor seconded the motion.
