If approved, the owner anticipates beginning work in August with an estimated completion by October 1, 2021. The estimated total façade project cost is $129,870 and they are eligible to request up to 50% or a maximum of $80,000 of the project costs through the façade grant program. This project is located INSIDE of the Special Service Area, so any incentive provided will be 50% from the City (through the Tax Increment Financing District IV fund) and 50% from the Galesburg Downtown Council. For example, if a façade grant of $64,395 is approved then $32,467.50 would come from the city and $32,467.50 would come from the Galesburg Downtown Council.
