Galesburg Board of Fire and Police Commissioners
Chief of Police Conference Room, Public Safety Building
July 17, 2025
Roll Call: Chairman Thomas Peters, Commissioner Bernie Cowan and Commissioner Sandy Wood
Others Present: None
Commissioner Cowan moved, seconded by Commissioner Wood, to adjourn into Executive Session
for the purpose of approving the executive session minutes for the February 17th and June 28th,
2025 executive meetings, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(21), and to conduct Deputy Chief of Police Interviews, 5
ILCS 120/2(c)(1).
Commissioner Cowan motioned to approve the February 17th and June 18th, 2025, executive
session minutes. Commissioner Wood seconded. Motion carried.
During the Executive Session, Commissioner Cowan motioned, seconded by Commissioner Wood,
to adjourn the Executive Session for the purpose of minute approval, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(21) and
Deputy Chief of Police Interviews, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).
