Call to order by President John Seitz at 10:33 a.m.
Present:Kelli Bennewitz,John Cratty,Matt Lewis,Brad Nolden,and John Seitz.Others Present:
Alex Courtney,Kyle McGee,and Nick Morrissey.
John Cratty moved,seconded by Matt Lewis,to approve the minutes from the November 6,
2023,meeting.The motion carried.
Alex Courtney presented the financial statement for the fund ending December 31,2023.Total
assets are $29,345,724 and total liabilities are $306,439.The net position-restricted pension
benefits is $29,039,285.He also provided a transaction report for the period October through
December 2023.
New Business
Kelli Bennewtiz moved,seconded by Brad Nolden,to approve the 2024 cost of living increases
for retirees at a total amount of $7,678.92.The motion carried.
Matt Lewis moved,seconded by John Cratty,to approve the following dates for 2024 board
meetings:
●May 6,2024
●August 5,2024
●November 4,2024
The motion carried.
Kelli Bennewitz reported the death of widow Beverly Rosine on December 17,2023.
Kelli Bennewitz also announced that there will be an election for one active member (John
Seitz)and two Mayoral appointments (Brad Nolden and Kelli Bennewitz)in April.Ballots will be
mailed to active firefighters.
Certified Trustee Training
Bennewitz will send information to the board on the free Pension Trustee Training that is
offered by IML.
