● The Commissioners were given a hard copy of the Bunker Links Golf Course Policies and
Rules of Etiquette which were last updated June 1, 2015. Commissioners will review this
document and bring back any suggested changes or edits to the September meeting.
New Business:
• Commissioner Selkirk asked if the ball washer on the 14th tee could be moved from the
black tees to one of the other tees as most people do not play from the back tees and it is
out of the way if golfers are in a cart. The other suggestion Commissioner Selkirk had
was if a second ball washer and trash can could be added to this tee. Greenskeeper Miles
responded saying that we wanted to keep each tee with only one ball washer and trash
can. The location of the current ball washer and trash can is in the same teeing area as the
white tees.
• Commissioner Reynolds brought up that the golf course has made a lot of improvements
but the pull carts are old and look bad. He asked if we could have them replaced. Director
Oligney-Estill responded saying that replacing the pull carts has been in the preliminary
budget each of the last two years but has not made the final budget after cuts were made
to balance the budget. The City is working on getting these replaced as soon as funding
allows.
• Head Golf Professional Luedtke contacted a few other local courses at the direction of
Director Oligney-Estill to inquire what rules those courses had regarding fivesomes,
frequency of scheduling golf outings and league play.
• A question about drainage on hole 5 was brought up. The question was if a creek was
added back to hole 5, where would the water go. Greenskeeper Miles and Superintendent
Miles both responded saying the water would drain into Lake Storey.
Citizen Comments:
• None.
Meeting adjourned at 5:06 P.M.
Next Golf Commission Meeting will be on September 28, 2021 at 4:00 P.M.
