MINUTES
GALESBURG LANDMARK COMMISSION
ERICKSON CONFERENCE ROOM OF GALESBURG CITY HALL
REGULAR MEETING
TUESDAY MAY 3, 2022 AT 5:30 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Melissa Goodwin, Suzanne Klohn, Mark Martin, Bob Miener, Deb
Sugai and Greta Woolsey, 6.
MEMBERS ABSENT: None.
OTHERS PRESENT: None.
Staff declared a quorum was present.
Approve Minutes of April 5, 2022
Member Klohn made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Member
Woolsey.
Minutes were approved by voice vote.
Discuss Citizen Comment
None.
LC-22-0501 Consider Annual Historic Preservation Awards
Awards will be presented at the May 16th Council meeting. Staff mentioned they
have heard back from the owner of 455 N Prairie St, who provided a few photos
and a project narrative, but have not yet heard from the owner of 319 W North St.
Member Woolsey moved to approve the nominations for an historic preservation
award, seconded by member Sugai.
The Façade Advisory Committee was to meet this morning to discuss discuss
potential changes to the facade program, but were not able to get a quorum to
conduct the meeting.
A list of the 2022 Most Endangered Historic Places in Illinois that was announced
by Landmarks Illinois was also provided to the Commission.
There being no further business, Member Martin made a motion to adjourn, seconded by
Member Miener, approved by voice vote the meeting adjourned at 5:50 P.M.
