The City of Galesburg is considering adoption of the following codes.
2021 International Fire Code
City of Galesburg Fire Chief Randy Hovind will be presenting the significant changes to the
International Building Code and the International Fire Code.
The City is looking to take the commission’s recommendation on this code change to City
Council for adoption. The City is currently using the 2012 version of this code. Included in this
packet are a list of the significant changes. Copies of the new code are available in the City
Clerks Office.

The City of Galesburg is considering adoption of the following codes.
2021 International Existing Building Code
City of Galesburg Building Inspector Rory Speidel will be presenting the 2021 Existing Building
Code for the commission’s consideration.
The City is looking to take the commissions recommendation on this code adoption to City
Council. The City has not previously adopted a version of this code. A copy of this code will be
sent along with this packet. Copy’s are also available for review in the City Clerk’s Office.
