PZ-22-0801 Public Hearing Variance of side yard setback, located at 658 S Elm St
The applicant stated he spoke with neighbors and nobody had any concerns about the proposed carport
location. He also stated he intends on enclosing the carport at some point in the future.
The Commission members considered the following items:
• That the purpose of the variance is not based exclusively upon a desire to make more money out
of the property;
• That the granting of the variance will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to
other property or improvements in the neighborhood in which the property is located;
• The Development Review Committee reviewed the ordinance amendment at their August 3,
2022 meeting and recommended approval.
Member McKelvie moved, seconded by Member Leahy to recommend approval of the setback variance.
