Members Present: Genny Gibson, John Peterson, Rose Morris, Annette McAllister, Stephanie
Grimes, 5. Absent: Linda Miller and Shannon McVey, 2. Also present: Kraig Boynton and Mary
Foutch.
Genny Gibson called the meeting to order at 1:03 p.m.
Public Comment:
None
A motion was made by John Peterson, seconded by Rose Morris, to approve the minutes of the
November 10, 2022, meeting. The motion carried.
Agenda Item PT‐22‐1101
Installation of a bus shelter on S. Soangetaha Rd.
The Traffic Advisory Commission recommended placement of the shelter on South Soangetaha
Road in front of the new clinic. The city of Galesburg Transit has an unused shelter that could be
installed where there is currently a bus bench located on the west side of Soangetaha Road.
A motion was made by Rose Morris, seconded by John Peterson, to recommend the installation
of a bus shelter on South Soangetaha Road. The motion carried.
Update
Kraig Boynton , Transit Manager, updated the commission on Grant revenue sources and that we
are still waiting for agreement to roll through the IDOT approval process. He also informed
commission members the new hire of a Part Time Para‐transit driver and that Transit still has a
Full Time dispatcher position open as well as numerous Part Time Fixed Route and Part Time
Para‐transit driving positions. Kraig also gave an update on the status of the fleet.
Member Grimes motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Member Morris.
The meeting adjourned at 1:53 p.m.
