Tree Commission Minutes, November 8, 2021
City Hall, Galesburg, Illinois
Meeting was called to order by Tony Oligney-Estill at 4:04 P.M.
Roll Call: Present: Members: Ann Pennington, Pat Trant, Jane Easterly, and Director of
Parks & Recreation-Tony Oligney-Estill
Absent: Millie Allen
Minutes of September 13, 2021 where approved.
Arborist Report:
• Tony presented the Arborist Report. The report had some information from October but
Tony did not think all the information from October was present. Tony will follow up and
make sure the Arborist Report is up to date before the next meeting.
Old Business:
• Tim LaFollette started on September 20th as the new Maintenance Working in the
Forestry Division. Tim and Cris have been working very hard getting some trees planted
and removing trees.
• The Mayor has received Dan’s application. It is up to the Mayor as to who and when he
decides to appoint new people to the various Commissions the city has.
New Business:
• Commissioners discussed whether or not to have a meeting in December. The consensus
was if there was no pertinent or time required information, to cancel the meeting. Tony
said he would wait until the week before and inform all the commissioners if the meeting
were to be cancelled.
Citizen Comments:
• Dan Thompson attended the meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 4:33 P.M.
